I LOVE donuts , but I do not work well with yeast. I recently found the Bon Appetit yogurt donut (yonut) recipe by Chris Morocco, and I had to try it! It is pretty foolproof, no adjustments were made to the dough recipe, but I substituted a peach maple glaze for the suggested lemon glaze. Total yield was one dozen 2.5″ yonuts , and about 3 dozen yonut holes. Recipe for the glaze below!

Make 1 batch of the Bon Appetit yogurt donut recipe (reroll scraps to make donut holes or sticks to use up all of the dough), In a small sauce pan, heat up the maple syrup to a simmer, add in the diced peaches, and cook for about 5 minutes to soften and cook out their moisture, Remove the syrup and peaches from the heat, and stir in the sugar, lemon juice and zest, After the donuts are cool enough to handle, dip in the glaze, making sure to incorporate all the bits of candied maple peachesPeach Maple Donuts
