Peach beehives with maple lime glaze 🍑. Peaches are my absolute favorite fruit, probably because my parents had a tree in their backyard. Since it is peach season, we can enjoy them by the bushel! A beautiful way to let them shine is in this southern treat, the peach beehive – strips of pie dough baked around a ripe and juicy peach (imagine an enclosed pie with no peeling, chopping, or added sugar!). Traditionally, these are topped with a hard sauce (boozy buttercream), but today I kept it simple with a maple glaze brightened with lime juice. I made this recently with my friend, Ea, and loved it so much I had to make them again. This time, I used whole wheat flour and an olive oil based dough.
