Match Meringue Kisses

I haven’t made anything elegant in a while, so I took a break to make matcha green tea meringue kisses. It’s a petite batch, which is perfect for me as a solo dweller ^_^

Matcha Meringue Kisses

Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • 50g white sugar (~1/2 cup)
  • 1 tsp matcha tea powder
  • 1 pinch of cream of tartar

Instructions

Hand whisk the egg white and cream of tartar in a clean bowl until it's foamy,

Whisk in the sugar slowly (about 1 tsp at a time) until soft peaks form,

Add matcha and whisk until stiff peaks form,

Scoop meringue into a pastry bag that has been fitted with a star tip

Pipe kisses starting 1/4" above parchment paper, squeeze until a quarter size dollop of batter forms, then pull straight up. My batch made 20 kisses,

Bake at 200˚ for 1.5-2 hours (depending on humidity). Let cool and enjoy!

Store in an air tight container for up to a week
